- When we solve an equation involving roots of even degree, we must remember
- not to introduce extra roots.
- Pay special attention to Step 2, in which both sides of the equation are
- squared. The domain condition results from the fact that negative numbers do
- not have roots of even degree, and the second condition from the fact that
